Caroline Macy Bates

She is here!! Our little girl has finally come!
Caroline Macy arrived on Friday March 2, 2007 @ 12:04 pm (est) She weighed 8 lbs 4.7 oz. and measured 20.8" long. I went in to be induced that morning and she was here by noon. We are so excited to have her here. The kids were not able to see her in the hospital (temporary new rule since so many hospital flus are going around) so Ben brought them to my window. They just giggled with excitement to see their new baby sister. We brought her home the next evening. It was so nice to be home. I don't find anything about being stuck in a small hospital room all alone in a horribly uncomfortable bed with awful food very relaxing so coming home was wonderful. She is doing well and the kids just can't get enough of her. They come running in first thing in the morning, and when they got home from church today. She is a very healthy and strong girl. She looks like Cameryn (and me) through her eyes and has little round cheeks. She holds up her head when we burp her and caught on to nursing very fast. She is a sweet girl and has more hair than the others had. Her cry is soft and coaxing, and is calling to me now :o). We are all so glad she's here!
