Jesse came running down the driveway after school saying, "Mom - guess what happened to me today!? My tooth, it just popped out!" He has been seven for exactly two weeks, and he has finally lost his first tooth. He got a bit concerned when he found out that the tooth fairy was actually going to take his first tooth lost. He wrote her this note...
She spent an awful lot of time, writing him back a very special note in green ink, sprinkled with green fairy dust telling him what a good boy he was and that yes, he could keep it, attaching it to the bottom of the note with a cute green brad in a tiny little ziploc bag (button bag). He didn't find her note in the morning, just the money. After school, he found it and was throwing it around like a paper airplane, and what do you know? It has disappeared! His sentimental mama (who has saved every other baby tooth yet lost in her household, yes, this is where he gets it from) is a little bummed about the loss, I am just hoping it shows up behind the fridge or on top of the cupboards, or something like that! He isn't disappointed anymore, so next time - which is going to be very soon, since we can already see the second new tooth coming in, the tooth fairy will take the tooth, thank you very much!

What a precious boy. When I talked to him on the phone the day it came out I told him that I thought the tooth fairy would let him keep his special tooth, especially since it was his first to come out. That letter is priceless.
